Sameer Latey is a Chartered Accountant with over 23 years of experience in finance, accounts, consolidation, budgeting and taxation. He is currently a Senior Manager – Consolidation at Reliance Industries Ltd., with expertise in financial reporting, RBI compliance and investments. Completely blind, Sameer works independently using assistive technology, including JAWS, Tally, SAP and Microsoft Office.
He is a strong advocate for digital accessibility and has contributed to making tax and e-filing services more accessible for blind users.
He mentors and trains blind professionals in finance and conducts career guidance and financial literacy sessions for blind students and youth. He has received several recognitions, including the ICAI Special Recognition Award and the Samman Award for social service.
